I got this reading below from Amy, a friend of mine. I can't believe how true it is!! The world today and the way we are told we have to raise our kids is so ridiculous! And I can't believe some of the parents I've encountered! I mean so many of Kaleb friends HIS AGE are allowed to play M games on the X-box's and PlayStation's and are allowed to watch rated R movies!! I mean WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO??!! I have rules for my child and it's a sad day when none of his friends will come to over to play because they are only allowed to watch G, PG and maybe A PG13 movie and are only allowed E, E10 and MAYBE a T game. (E=everyone, E10=everyone 10 and older and T=teen (I have to approve these because some are OK and others are not!) M=mature which is NOT allowed in our house. They don't want to stay the night because they have to be in bed sleeping by 10:30-11:00pm the latest (which I concider to be generous!!) ugh!! HELLO PARENTS You are allowed to discipline and set rules!!! I know it's hard to raise children today because so many of the disciplinary tactics are not allowed in today's society but you can still do other things to protect your child from things they should NOT be seeing or playing at the age of 9 or 10!! AND bedtimes are allowed to!!! grrrrrr!!! NO WONDER OUR KIDS ARE THEY WAY THEY ARE!! Kaleb gets mad at me because MOST of his friends (pretty much all of them) are allowed to do these things and he can't. What's a parent to do......well BE MEAN...I guess.....just like the reading below! enjoy all you "MEAN" parents out there (like me)

MEAN MOMMY......What about sane, responsible, level headed, caring, loving, must I need to go on.
You rock because instead of trying to be your friends best freind you are being what you are suppose to A MOTHER..........This will teach them to have respect for authority, other people, and the world, which in result make is a better place........

You need to be your own person and listen to your motherly instincts! You may be the meeny now but when they grow up and have respect for other people and are loving and caring adults, You can be very proud of yourself and ypur kids. The kids today think that their parents owe them everything they want!! They have no respect for their parents or any adult figure, so if they think you are the meeny now, they will get over it later!! Teach them as I taught you, You do unto others as you would want done to you!! You are doing a good job by keeping all that violence and smut away from them as long as you can. There is enough violence from the kids today. It's a very scary time when you are afraid to send your kids to school because of the violence that occurs there. I love you and respect your decisions!!

You are both wonderful "mean" parents. Your kids are going to grow up respecting both of you and others. Most kids today don't respect their parents and some parents don't respect their kids either. Thats why the world is like it is today. Keep up the good work both of you. Hugs and Kisses to all we love yous.
